Originally from Chicago, Kate found herself drawn to West, and her “just one summer season in Telluride” turned into a decade plus commitment to Colorado. She attended cosmetology school at Paul Mitchell Denver, graduating in 2020, and completed an apprenticeship program before landing at Cedar as a full time stylist. Kate's favorite service to perform is dry cutting, whether it's shaping a bob or adding movement to thick hair, alongside her love for blended, sun-kissed dimensional color. Committed to continuous learning and growing, she eagerly participates in various cutting + color classes. In 2024, Kate is taking her dedication to the next level by pursuing certification as a Hair Loss Specialist. This decision reflects her deep-rooted commitment to providing comprehensive care to her clients, recognizing the importance of hair health in achieving and maintaining your dream hair.Kate's ideal client is someone who is open-minded and values both hair health and creativity. Her clients often say “Do what you want, I trust you” and she doesn’t take that trust lightly. Specifically, she enjoys working with individuals who prefer lower maintenance styles and embrace their natural grays. Kate finds joy in collaborating with chill, communicative people who entrust her expertise and vision. Outside of work, Kate enjoys hiking with her sweet dog Avery, hunting down the best chocolate croissant in the city, dancing at concerts, and traveling with her partner David.
